Sugar - Sweet or Sour?

Too much of Sugar for the weekend ! Close to 40 spoons of Sugar (flavored in various dishes, coffee, chocolates, juices and sweets) in 3 days, zero workout!
Invokes pleasant feelings inside my brain when i take sugar! Human brain is a store house of feelings(infinite...). Certain events or activities trigger good joyous feelings and some trigger negative/sad/grave feelings inside us! We haven't trained our minds to like something, it has been natural all the way! Lovely music, cool breeze, eating chocolates, etc etc ( The list can go on... alcohol, coke, nicotine................. and its different for different people ) When it comes to ingesting something inside our system, we get an equal amount of joy at the time of consumption, but face health problems later on...(in case of sugar it is diabetes, Obesity, tooth decay etc..) -- why? Why do we derive joy out of something which 'may' be detrimental to our own self ?!

You are forgetting quantity. How far do you take something till it becomes bad? Too little has the same trouble too.

Do you plan on living forever? If you have a drink once in a while and have a good time with friends, without hurting anybody along the way, and live till 90 instead of 95, is that a bad thing?

Do you think by doing a set of 'right' things, certain 'things' - pain, sorrow, misery, poverty, despair, misery, loneliness, helplessness- will be absent from your life? We must have the courage to accept that life for what it is. By this i do not mean you have to let it defeat you; look around, change is a metaphor that manifests itself in all of nature's facets; but know that just as spring follows winter, so will autumn surely.

No its not a question of restraint.. Not able to comprehend the fact that, our mind likes so many things and yet our body reacts angrily with some abnormal conditions just because you took something 'in' which u really liked..

For instance If i love painting or If i like driving a Formula 1 car.... I can get infinite joy out of it.. do it for lifetime.. and yet not be affected by it.. but I cant overdo when it comes to consumption just because i like it..

Man proposes, God disposes Arjun.. :-)

People can make plans; God determines how things will turn out.
