Hofstadter's Law: Everything takes longer than you think it will, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law (Douglas Hofstadter, Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid, 20th anniversary ed., pub. 1999, pg. 152 of chapter 5.
Boren's First Law: When in doubt, mumble.
