Nudgets of humanly wisdom

Here are some interesting nudgets of humanly wisdom that I came across the internet. I thought they would be good fodder for our thoughts here.

Kai's Example Dilemma: A good analogy is like a diagonal frog.

Etorre's Observation: The other line moves faster.

Hofstadter's Law: Everything takes longer than you think it will, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law (Douglas Hofstadter, Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid, 20th anniversary ed., pub. 1999, pg. 152 of chapter 5.

Boren's First Law: When in doubt, mumble.

and last but the best

Minksy's Second Law: Don't just do something. Stand there.
